Starring wrestler/actress/slutty model Shelley Martinez, Darkness of the Night is the latest film from Black Sunday Films (they who gave us the deliberately bad and racist-y Black Devil Doll).
Here is the (heavily edited for grammar by moi) synopsis: A young woman drinking herself to death; a fiance missing for days; a man in a brown suit being followed; a corrupt relationship of confused love and violent murders all play into this darkness which we call the night: Darkness of the Night aka Nerezza Della Notte (if you want to be pretentious, and fake-giallo - and they do).

Great Movie!
Thanks for the great review. It's funny that making an original story and movie and not another lame regurgitated remake like a lot of the indy films on this site is now considered pretentious and fake. Oh and giving a nod to great filmmakers without totally ripping off their stories; ya, thats pretty pretentious. Also good job on what sounds like a review on a movie that hasn't even been seen.

How on earth does it look like a review? I reviewed the TRailer, CLEARLY. By the way, it actually is pretentious and fake to call your own film, which hasn't even come out yet, a 'giallo', when you aren't Italian, and the film isn't even shot on Film.

Well it is very clear to me now that you do not know what the word giallo means in refering to film. Also your comment shows you should study or do some research on the giallo genre. By the way my movie was shot on one of the latest digital cinema film cameras out in the industry (Red Camera)... That has nothing to do with me being from Italy or shooting on film.

I forgot something else.... Black Devil Doll was created by LCD Entertainment too. Oh and again thanks for the great review. Send me your movie when you get a chance.

1) Your press release states that 'on the heels of editing Black Devil Doll, YOU (jonathan) have shot Darkness of the Night'. Did YOU not shoot Black Devil Doll? Because, that's what your press release said.
2) The RED camera is a DIGITAL camera that ATTEMPTS to emulate the look and feel of 16mm film. I am not a cinematographer, and if I am wrong, please, a REAL cinematographer correct me. But a quick google search led me to that knowledge (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Red_Digital_Cinema_Camera_Company) Do you not even know that you actually didn't shoot your movie on film?
If, my some weird twist, I am wrong, (I am not a cinematographer)and you did use film, from the trailer it does not LOOK to me like film. I also stand by my opinion that the trailer is choppy and doesn't give a good idea of the plot. I am allowed to have an opinion, and if you send me the trailer and ask me to post it on my website, I will do so, and you send it at your own peril. If you don't want people to have an opinion about your film, don't make one, and at the very least, don't deliberately SEND it to people.
3) Your press release was totally grammatically incorrect, embrassing, and frankly, you ought to be ashamed to have sent it out without even using spell check.
4) My movie is available in many film festivals and also online at the film's website. Feel free to watch it anytime. Oh, its called WRETCHED (www.wretchedmovie.com)
Your anger is clear - get over it. You must be a grown man yet you sound by your writing as if you were a teenager making his first movie. I didn't say 'your film sucks' or 'you're an idiot' - I merely gave my opinion based on the trailer you sent to me and asked me to put up.
My website isn't a free showcase for anyone and everyone to get free advertising for their film. It is a forum for me to express my opinion and for my writers to express their opinions.
