"'There's a monster in your chest. These guys hijacked your ship, and they sold your cryotube to this... human, and he put an alien inside of you. It's a really nasty one. And in a few hours, it's gonna burst its way through your rib cage, and you're gonna die. Any questions?'- Ellen Ripley, Alien Resurrection"
Women In Horror Film Festival
Saturday, Feb 27th, 2010 - Athens, GA
Join us for an evening of short horror films directed by women, including locally-made productions by Dayna Knoffke, Monica Puller and Countess Samela.
There will also be out of state films including movies by Heidi Martinuzzi, Ruby LaRocca, and Valerie Morris.
All local film makers and a few of the out of towners will be present for audience Q&A after the show.
This event is presented exclusively through Athens Ciné and Gonzoriffic Films as part of Women in Horror Recognition Month.
Please visit www.womeninhorrormonth.com and www.athenscine.com for more information.
It's a straight up murder mystery currently titled "Perfect Harry". The story unfolds out of sequence kind of like "Memento". It stars me, Monica and Diver Velour (from Erotic Couch and Fox Holes).
Monica's entry is called "Gimme", a comedy horror film about three girls on Halloween trying to escape a possessed doll (voice of Amy Kelly from "Firecracker").
We have one of those - the L.A. Weekly, and it is run by a collective that is actually centered in Greenich Fucking Village in NYC. Therefore, all the articles are about food and theater, which people in Los Angeles have absolutely no interest in whatsoever.
Los Angeles should be about film and bands. But NYC'ers don't understand that, so the 'Weekly is fairly useless.
Here is the WIH Festival play list as of right now -
Don't Look in the Fridge by Val O. Morris
Perfect Harry by Countess Samela
Gimme! by Monica Puller
Safety F.I.R.S.T. by Dayna Knoffke
Belated by Valentine's Lover by Ruby LaRocca
Death in Charge by Devi Snively
Taste of Flesh, Taste of Fear by Stacie Ponder
Wretched by Heidi Martinuzzi
Still waiting for a couple films, and digging through submissions. Will have a definite list by Wednesday.

Yay!!!!!
