'Season of the Witch' - Reason 41 to make fun of Nicolas Cage

Amongst the many, rich, and varied reasons to make fun of Nicolas Cage (his acting, his hair, his choice of roles, his inappropriate and off-putting mannerisms, The Wicker Man remake) comes his latest genre effort (I say 'effort', but I don't really mean it); Season of the Witch, from Lionsgate. Cage stars as a 14th-century Crusader who has to transport a hot witch to an abbey, where she'll be exorcised. Cage sports longish extensions, a sword, and other 'period' accessories while being a 50-year-old hero in a time when he would have been called 'grandpa.' Of course, our witch is young and sexy because women over 30 are too old. She even (dare I suggest?) uses her sexuality as a force of evil to attempt to corrupt the men! Expect loud noises! Expect bad acting! Expect non-scary religious horror that never really explains itself!...

We've posted the trailer for you, where you can see the idiocy cleverly hidden behind fast-paced trailer editing and an industrial soundtrack. Notice the many a CGI scene and cheesy lines. Notice how this film stars Ron Perlman, and notice how this makes LadyHawke look like a good film.

When you're young and hot, you might be 'good'
But when you get ugly, you're 'evil' and it is okay for men to kill you.

They will be asking you to PAY MONEY to see this March 19, 2010!
