Anya Camilleri (director of the Tara Reid horror vehicle Incubus) will direct Sharon Stone in the upcoming Satisfaction. Also starring Carice van Houten and to arrive in 2010 from Media 8 Entertainment.
Satisfaction is a sexy, smart and edgy drama/thriller about a young male gigolo, set in London. Jimmy lives in the shadow of the rich women he seduces and uses their money to live a lifestyle he couldn't otherwise afford. He usually leaves the women when a better opportunity comes along - until he meets Emma.

Although Incubus makes for an interesting footnote in the world of new media (it was the first full length feature to premiere as an internet download via AOL), there isn't much else to make the film of interest.
The story involves six stranded youths who break into a desolate lab which houses a convicted killer who lies in a comatose state, hooked up to some fancy machinery. Whatever employees they can locate are either dead, or just plain nuts. J.J. (Tara Reid) manages to put the fairly obscure pieces together and decides that the patient is somehow entering other bodies when he slips into REM sleep. He begins to invade the various victims-to-be and all kinds of crap hits the fan.

Incubus premieres today on AOL Red. So, what the hell does that mean? Aol Red is a website/channel that is testing out the 'straight-to-download' concept of film distribution. Rather than put the film in the theaters, AOL RED is totally skipping that part, and for 30 days you'll be able to download the whole film for $7.99, or rent it for 5 days for $3.49, all by leftclicking. Unless you have a Mac. Then you'll do whatever Mac users do, which is 'I have no fucking idea'. After that, Incubus will be available on DVD like anything else out there. Sony will own the film and hopefully we'll see it get its run on the Sci-Fi channel. AOL will gauge whether this type of distribution makes sense (money) or not. If it's successful, this may mean a great big huge change for the way films are distributed. It'll mean that there's an online market for horror films, and theaters will start to feel the pressure. Good. Fuck theaters. It's doubly cool that the film they've chosen to start off this new experiment with is a horror film directed by a woman. Anya Camilleri is an experienced director who suddenly found herself directing a gore-fest starring none other than party-girl Tara Reid (oh she of the botched surgery)!
