Variety reports that genre film producer and United Artists co-owner and chief executive officer Paula Wagner is in talks with MGM to leave her post at United Artists. Wagner will continue to produce films with Tom Cruise and MGM, with whom she co-owns United Artists, including the upcoming Guillermo del Toro’s film version of the British TV adventure series Champions.

| Dorian Leigh, first supermodel and extraordinary woman, dies. |
|
Leigh, the woman dubbed America's first supermodel, (Take that, Janice Dickinson!) died last Monday evening. The 1940s covergirl, who graced a series of iconic Vogue magazine covers and became one of the most photographed models ever, passed away in Virginia at the age of 91.
Dorian Elizabeth Leigh Parker was born in San Antonio, Texas on April 13, 1919. Dorian dropped the "Parker" from her name because of her family's opposition to her being a model. Leigh fronted Revlon's 'Fire + Ice' cosmetics campaign throughout the 1950s and was once called "truly the best model of our time" by agency heavyweight Eileen Ford (who started the now-famous Ford Agency). A friend of author Truman Capote, Leigh is believed to have been his inspiration for the Breakfast At Tiffany's character Holly Golightly, portrayed by Audrey Hepburn on the big screen. After turning her back on modelling, Leigh opened a beauty agency in France and became a caterer and food writer. In 1980, Leigh published an autobiography, The Girl Who had Everything. She also had poems published in The New Yorker.
